NowForce Version 5.9's new features and user interface upgrades are detailed below.

NowForce System Improvements

Considerable effort was placed in this release on improving performance, security and stability of the NowForce's platform. Specific focus areas include:

  • Map performance has been improved significantly.
  • Improved security scanning of file uploads.
  • Improved performance resulting from bug fixes.

New Contextual Help Tips in Settings

New Contextual Help Tips have been added throughout the NowForce Settings pages. These tips provide immediate access to information about each setting. Each help tip includes links to related resources from the Help Center and video library, click on the Read more and Watch tutorials links to find out more.

Android Mobile Forms User Interface (UI) Improvements

Mobile forms have been revamped with a new user interface.

Alignment of Android and iOS Mobile App

The following features have been aligned:

  • “Assets near me” has been added to Android and is now aligned to iOS.

  • "Unit check-in" in iOS now aligned to Android functionality

Gradual Location Permission Granting for Android

The recent changes to permissions from Android 10 and above, now require mobile app users to grant location permission access in two steps:

  • In the foreground (“While using the app”)

  • In the background (“Allow all the time”) location access.
